Three Questions To Ask A Realtor Before Hiring

Deciding to sell your home is an important decision. One that I am sure you took the time to thoroughly think about and consider all of the options. The same approach should be taken when choosing a Realtor to represent you in the sale of your home. This person will be a major factor in the exposure your home will receive and ultimately the overall result. Interviewing and asking the right questions will provide you with the insight needed to make an informed decision.

The Three Most Important Questions To Ask Your Realtor:

What do you do to market my home?
This is very important because the more exposure your home receives the more interest it will generate. Marketing your home is more than putting it on the MLS system and hoping someone sees and likes it. Online marketing has become a primary role and your Realtor must have a marketing plan that includes digital marketing as well as print.

How do you communicate important information about my home?
You will want to stay included in the happenings of your home while it is listed. That includes receiving feedback on showings, online performance statistics and updates on new listings & sales comparable to your property. It is important to ask how your Realtor communicates this information and what information is provided so that all parties are comfortable with how it will be handled.

Are you a full time or part time Realtor?
This is an important question to ask because you need to know that your Realtor will be available to not only you, but to other agents of potential buyers. There may be questions, or certain situations and if your Realtor is not readily available it could potentially lose the salel. Your Realtor should have full attention on the sale of your home.

Asking a Realtor these questions is a normal practice and should be carried out prior to hiring. Providing the Realtor answers these questions within your satisfaction, your relationship with your Realtor will benefit and thus creating perfect synergy to get your home sold.
